Playa Azul Beach Cleanup

We had another great volunteer beach cleanup today. Local residents organized a morning of picking up trash, raking seaweed, and general beach clean up on Playa Azul today. The Mayor and the City came out to help and provided heavy equipment to remove all of the piles of raked seaweed, as well as cold waters for volunteers to drink. Huge Volunteer Cleanup Efforts Underway

Saturday June 13, 2015 Volunteer Beach Cleanup:   Today, the Municipal Administration of Luquillo, including Luquillo’s Mayor,  joined FURA Maritime Unit and the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DRNA in Spanish) of Puerto Rico in a clean up effort of area beaches. Volunteers, city workers, rescue divers, and many more individuals from both organizations showed up to help clean up our coastline.
